The Joint Task Force (JTF) Marawi Story rolling to victory narrates how the Army’s mounted warriors were utilized in Marawi. From Day 1 to Day 154, the mounted warriors performed a plethora of tasks from delivering fires from armored vehicles, observing and engaging enemies moving at night, hauling supplies to front line troops and evacuating wounded personnel. The mounted warriors and their equipment were invaluable assets to JTF Marawi. It highlights innovations, best practices and challenges faced by the mounted warriors in conducting their operations in the complex urban environment of Marawi. Lastly, it provides recommendations on how the Philippine Army can improve its armor operations capability for future operations.
