ORCPA addresses Iligan City business group security conference

Kiwalan, Iligan City, July 12, 2018 – LTC JO-AR A HERRERA (INF) PA, Director of Operations Research Center, Philippine Army was the guest speaker in a security conference of Iligan Bay Chamber of Industries LDN, Inc. (IBCI) on July 12, 2018 at Republic Cement Guest House, Kiwalan, Iligan City.

IBCI is an organization of various large business entities based in Iligan City.





With the conference theme, "Security as a shared responsibility for a peaceful existence against violence and extremism," LTC HERRERA provided a presentation and videos emphasizing the lessons learned and proactive measures that will prevent a scenario similar to the Marawi crisis.

“The conference aims to develop a platform for IBCI to promote coordination and unity among our member-companies and bring together the various industries in Iligan City and Lanao del Norte including our partners and stakeholders,” IBCI president Engr. Ruben Ramilo said.

The conference also featured sessions with speakers from the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Brigade and the PNP-Iligan City Police Office on the current situation of Iligan City and Lanao del Norte.
